A pause... together

Family life is beautiful — and it’s also busy, noisy, chaotic and often nothing like the images we imagine when we think about “family photographs”.

Children grow at an astonishing pace. Days blur into weeks. And before we realise it, years have passed without any real record of how it felt to be together.

Not the perfect version.
The real one.

That’s why, later this spring, I’ve booked a studio for a single, quiet day of family portrait sessions.

Not to create perfection.
Not to ask children to behave.
Not to make anyone perform.

But to offer families a pause.

A pocket of time to slow down. To sit together. To hold hands, cuddle, laugh, breathe. To exist — without distractions, schedules or demands pulling you elsewhere.

WHY THE STUDIO?

The studio gives us simplicity.

Gentle light. A calm, neutral space. Fewer things competing for attention. No weather to battle, no rushing from place to place.

From there, we let your family be exactly what it is.

Sometimes that looks quiet and tender.
Sometimes playful and energetic.
Sometimes a little chaotic.

All of it is welcome.

I work gently, without stiff posing or pressure. I’ll guide when needed, then step back. Children lead. Parents are always part of the story.

You don’t need to prepare your children.
You don’t need to feel “ready”.
You just need to turn up as you are.

AN INVITATION

I’ve booked the studio for one day only — Sunday 29th March — and I’m opening it to a very small number of families.

The day has been structured to allow the experience to feel relaxed, unhurried and spacious.

There are just four sessions available in total.

Once these are filled, availability will close.

SESSION OPTIONS

Studio Portrait Session - £125 | 45 minutes

A gentle introduction to my studio work.

This option is ideal if you’d love a calm, meaningful experience without committing to a longer session.

It includes:

  • A relaxed 45-minute studio session

  • One child or immediate family (maximum 4 people)

  • Pre-session guidance on what to wear and what to expect

  • A private online viewing gallery

  • £50 print credit towards artwork or albums

There’s no pressure to decide anything on the day.

This option gives you the freedom to choose you own images and products afterwards, in your own time.

Studio Portrait Experience - £250 | up to 90 minutes

For families who would love time to truly settle into the experience.

This longer session allows space for children to warm up, for pauses when needed, and for things to unfold naturally.

It includes:

  • Up to 90 minutes in the studio

  • Time for children to be themselves, without rushing

  • Individual portraits and family photographs

  • A private online viewing gallery

  • One fine art print (10x8 or 12x8) or £100 print credit

  • Priority gallery turnaround

All edited digital images can be added at a preferential rate if you wish.

IS THIS FOR YOU?

This studio day is for families who value presence over perfection.

It’s for parents who want to exist in photographs — even if they feel tired, busy, or not quite “ready”.

It’s not about children sitting still or smiling on cue. It’s about connection, however that looks for your family.

If that resonates, you’re exactly who this is for.
