Deer Park Wedding | Devon Wedding Photographer | Lucy and Zander

A wedding with ice baths, yoga… and serious style.

There’s something about a couple who really know themselves. Who lead with presence, not pressure. Who aren’t swept up in the noise of planning a wedding. They know what matters, and they build their lives (and wedding) around it. Lucy and Zander are exactly those people.

When Lucy first got in touch about her wedding photography at The Deer Park Country House, I had a feeling we’d click. She runs a bespoke interior and styling business, so yes and from the get-go I knew her wedding was going to be an aesthetic treat. From the dress, the florals to the table styling and the hand-painted candles (yes you heard it!), it was beautiful. But it wasn’t just about how it looked — it was about how it felt. And that’s what made it so special.

This was one of those weddings where the vibe was totally aligned. Grounded, stylish — and full of heart. From the start of the day to the very last dance, there was a beautiful ease about it all. No rush, no stress. Just present, happy people soaking up every moment.

Lucy and Zander had a clear vision for their wedding photography too. They wanted a relaxed, editorial feel — natural images that still felt stylish, refined, and magazine-worthy. No stiff poses or orchestrated group shots. They’d seen my wedding portfolio and knew I could capture that balance: elegant, effortless, and real.

Their morning set the tone beautifully. While Lucy was getting ready with her bridesmaids, Zander invited guests to join him for yoga and an ice bath — not something I usually see on a wedding timeline, but I was very here for it. It was a genius move: a moment of calm and connection before the buzz kicked in. And don’t worry — once the ceremony was over, the energy shifted up a gear. This was a couple who knew how to party just as much as they knew how to pause.

Their wedding was a reminder that when you design a day around what matters to you — not what Instagram or tradition says it should be — magic happens.

Lucy and Zander — thank you for letting me in. For trusting me to capture all the beauty, stillness, energy and joy. For doing things your own way, and for proving (yet again) that weddings can be soulful and fun. Reflective and rowdy. Thoughtful and full throttle.

P.S. Curious what Lucy and Zander thought of the final images? I’ll let them tell you in their own words
