They were the winners of the Your Bristol and Somerset Wedding magazine ‘Win your wedding photography’ competition. But not only were they winners of the competition, they were winners in love.
They found each other and, in each other, they found a love that I don’t think will ever fade. They found a friendship that will last a lifetime. They found someone who gives them the permission to be themselves and brings out the best in them. They found a person who clearly adores them, supports their lifestyle and who they are. Someone who is their soul mate.
They have friends and family who clearly love and support them and had a wonderful wedding day that that will give them beautiful memories for the rest of their life. To me that makes them winners in every way.
Jess and Dave – you know how much of an honour it was for me to photograph your big day. Thank you for being such an amazing couple to photograph and such fun. You certainly ‘found your feet’ after those pre-wedding shoot nerves and I hope that these photographs bring back as many happy memories for you as they do for me.
Maunsel House is a beautiful venue to photograph and I’m delighted to say that I’ve been invited back…hurrah!
Love all the little details….
The quirkiness inside are just incredible and everywhere you look there is something to ‘capture your imagination’.
The bridal dressing room is spectacular and was a hive of activity…..

Her little bridesmaids were so well dressed…and stunning.
Check out the little boy at the bottom of this series….
Jackson…you’re so cute! More of him later.
Dave pretty much looked like this every time I saw him. I think he’s pretty happy with his decision to marry Jess don’t you!??
The smile just is so apparent!
A proud Dad.
Caught on camera! A sneaky ‘steady-the-nerves’ pint before the lovely Jess arrives.
I’ve been looking for the right staircase to do this kind of a shot for ages. This one fits ‘the bill’ perfectly!
A few more emotional moments from Jess….tears of happiness of course.
Big brother protectively looks on.
Wowzers….your love is clear Jess and your beauty is breathtaking.
Jackson’s big moment. He made everyone laugh as once he ‘came on’ he didn’t want to leave again!!
Just check the happiness on Jess’s face….an amazing moment to capture.
Jess and Dave wanted some big group shots and the iconic confetti-throw so we had to venture outside. It was FREEZING but their guests were brilliant and did it without complaint. The bridesmaids were absolute stars considering how little they were wearing!
But the toasty warm open fires and champagne were worth waiting for.
Just checking it’s still there!
….in the wood shed! Which I have to point out…they loved!
Making the most of the beautiful exterior.
Love, love, love this window light in both these shots.
Jess had organised some fabulous details to compliment their theme
And hired this gorgeous vintage suitcase from Aunties Vintage China
Cider were the favours and each table had a different brand / make to correspond to the table plan. I love theming like this!
Beautiful hand-make cake by Jess’s Auntie and decorated with more gorgeous flowers from Lisa at Dotty Daisies
