In 2000, Brits Jim and Lucy Fisher and their then eight year old daughter, Jenny, moved to the Dordogne, SW France, to set up a cookery school offering cooking lessons to locals and travellers alike.
Sixteen years later, Jim and Lucy returned to the UK, to the place they first met and fell in love, in Exeter, offering cooking

At the heart of the business are Jim and Lucy Fisher, whose extensive experience in running a successful cookery school and passion for putting flavour back into food has made Exeter Cookery School an instant success.

When Jim & Lucy met Venetia
Jim and Lucy Fisher, owners of Exeter Cookery School, first worked with Venetia Norrington on a photo shoot promoting a pop-up cookery event at Bridwell Park. Jim Fisher says: “There was an instant rapport with Venetia and the images that followed are testament to her attention to detail and ability to capture the moment perfectly.
“And so, when we were looking for a photographer for a photographic shoot at Exeter Cookery School, featuring some of my winter warmer recipes for an editorial feature in Exeter Living magazine, Venetia came to mind immediately. We were really impressed by Venetia’s eye for a great foodie shot as well as her professionalism. She really is a joy to work with.”
