So…what did everyone think of the Royal Wedding yesterday?! Although I desperately wanted to watch every minute of it, having been out of the office on an off all week photographing pre-weddings shoots & meeting other excited bride & grooms I was determined to tie myself firmly to my desk and just nip in to the lounge for the key parts. Well….that lasted until all of 8.45am! I put the kettle on, popped the TV on to just watch and then ended up glued ALL day, most of the night and am still ‘Googling’ for the high-lights and scouring the internet for the official photographs. It was a beautiful wedding in every way and I hope it will inspire bride & grooms for the next few years to come.
Well, from one beautiful wedding to another….
After the ceremony and a bit of time to enjoy themselves we took Emily & Paul outside to capture some gorgeous images of the two of them.
And although we were in full on ‘creative mode’ there’s always time for a fun…as captured by the lovely Nicola…
A Firetop signature pose….that seems to sneak into every wedding…!
At this point in time, I got another one of my brainwaves and (supported by Nicola who was trying to stop me from falling and shoot!) jumped up on a very tall pillar to get this lovely shot…I think it was worth the risk!!
Back on solid ground I captured this….OMG Emily you are sooo gorgeous!!
Not many people can ‘pull off’ sultry but these two did it to a tee…
Although I’m not a great fan of funky ‘flash’ effects there are definitely times and places and this was one of them
As her wedding guests were milling around the grounds beforehand Emily didn’t really want to capture any shots of her outside of the room so we took this opportunity to do this….
Stunning, simply stunning…..
And my last and favourite image of the day (sorry Paul!!)
A few detail shots and some lovely informal photographs of the guests and then I’m done!
