I used to blog a lot. It was a great way of ‘diarising’ my journey as a photographer, telling clients everything that’s new and the bonus…..I loved it! The problem was, I’m not one of those photographers who can simply share the basics. I am a woman of many words (although I’m sure my husband would put that somewhat less tactfully!) and I want my readers to be interested & inspired by my ramblings. I wanted it to be perfect. So, rather than post something that wasn’t perfect, I posted nothing.
On Wednesday, I had the pleasure of attending Jasmine Star’s London Workshop along with 19 other fabulous photographers and although, later this weekend, I’ll be blogging the day in all it’s ‘awesomeness’, for now I just want to fulfill a promise.
The last thing she said to me, before she jetted off, was ‘You need to blog more’. And, I looked into those huge brown eyes and said ‘I promise I will’.
So, even it if a few sentences. Even if it’s not perfect. Even if I’m shattered & really just want to curl up on the sofa at 10pm. I promise myself, my clients & the fabulous J*, that I will be blogging the wonderful adventure that is life much more in the future.
Jasmine, JD, Kat, Gareth, the creative team, the models & everyone else I shared two amazing days with; thank you for inspiring me so much and thank you for bringing me back to my blog.
Here is the fabulous lady in full swing. I like to think she was saying “Even if you only blog this much Venetia, you still need to blog it”!
